Can someone give me a detailed How To on setting up Getright Pro with my Rapidshare Premium account. Where in Getright Pro do i put in my Login and Password so that when i click a rapidshare link, it will automatically download it?

Right now, im trying to click on a rapidshare link and all it does is download the html page.... not the file itself. And it doesnt ask me my user/pass for my premium account.

Here's the short answer:

Quote

Try going to the GetRight Download Status, then the Tools menu. Pick the "Log Into Website" one. Then put in the URL for the page on the website where you put in your username and password (for them: http://rapidshare.de...premiumzone.cgi ) and click the "Download Form" and you can put in the info and then click "Login" at the bottom.

That should get all the cookies set right. If that works, you can setup so it does that automatically on the Internet--Login--Web Page configuration.

Here's the full thing:

For others reading this, it does seem like you must have the Rapidshare Premium account to download their files with GetRight. They specifically block download managers for the free downloads. (http://getright.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=546)

I've been using Rapidshare premium for eons now, and the easiest way to download files without having to first shoot yourself in the hips is to log into Rapidshare.com (or Rapidshare.de) and go into the "options" page and then toggle the box that reads "direct download". From this point on, you just need to feed the link into Getright and the download should start immediately. Also note that Rapidshare uses cookies to verify your premium status, so if you're sick and tired of logging into their website each time you boot your box as I am, just leave the cookie in its place.

I have both rapidshare.de and rapidshare.com accounts. GetRight 6.0c works OK wit rapidshare.de but I can't make it work with rapidshare.com. "Direct download" is set to TRUE on both accounts. What am I doing wrong?

It sounds odd that Rapidshare.de works while Rapidshare.com doesn't. Both are identical companies running on the same engine, although they claim to be otherwise. Could you be more specific on what is currently not working for you that did work in the past? Also it would help if you make a screenshot of the problem and upload it as an attachment with your next post.

Hi I have Getright 6.0c and when I sent rapidshare.com links downloads only 5 KB. I noticed that those files have html contents and is the page which asks you how you want to download, as premium or as free. My question is how we can tell to getright to download always as premium automatic.

Thanx

LOL. It looks like you're downloading lots of baddies. Those files with only 5 KB are usually those that are deleted from the RS server due to, ahem, you know what. The best thing to do before you downoad anything is to check whether all the links are still intact. You can do this by clicking on the "URL-Checker" button within your premium account or use the "verify selected download" option within Getright by right-clicking on the link(s) in the Getright window.

You're wrong. GetRight can't download from rapidshare.com for an unknown reason. Instead of downloading a file it downloads a HTML file. It's the page where you select Premium or Free download. GetRight can't handle this. :angry:

From Rapidshare :

~~~~~~~~~~~
In case you use a download manager, you should know that changes happened here as well. Those changes only apply for you if you used to insert direct links (http://rapidshare.com/files/837261/635273483/file.zip) in your download manager instead of the normal RapidShare URL (http://rapidshare.com/files/837261/file.zip). There are no download sessions for premium users anymore. To successfully use a download manager of your choice, please follow these steps:
1. Start your download manager
2. Add one or more conventional RapidShare URLs in the download queue.
3. Enter your premium login and password in the given form of your download manager BEFORE you start the download.
4. Start your download
It is important to enter your premium details in the download manager before you start the download. Only this way your program knows about your premium membership and only this way it will tell our server about it as well so we can recognize you.
Attention: Please only use well-known download managers like GetRight or FlashGet. We got notice about the fact that some questionable "download managers" send your login and password to other people!
